I was born and raised here on Åland, with a lot of shipping and nature in my blood.
I work as a tour guide around the world during the winter, so if you need a tour leader for the whole trip, I can e.g. meet the group somewhere in the Nordic countries and take care of you all the way over here to our islands. I am a certified IATM Tour Manager.
I love spending time in nature, and I will soon be a certified wilderness guide as well. If you want to hike, go by bike or going camping with a guide I will be here for you! I want to show you hidden gems that might not be so easy to find otherwise. I have walked almost all trails here on Åland so I know which trails to suggest we take.
My grandfather was a sea captain working on beautiful tall ships around the world. I will share inside stories from our vast maritime history until today and everything between. I work as a guide at the Maritime Museum in Mariehamn and will be more than happy to guide you there, as well as onboard our beautiful four-masted steel bark, Pommern.
Bomarsund – a place full of world history. It’s a bit like Pompeji – if you go there yourself it’s beautiful and nice – but you will not know about the people who lived there and why things happened etc. I will tell you all about this, and make history come alive!
Åland has a lot of exciting food producers, restaurants and cafes. Let me take you on a culinary tour of an hour or for several days – there is so much good food and drinks out there and so many passionated entrepreneurs!
Mariehamn is a beautiful small town that has interesting anecdotes in many unexpected corners, beautiful streets, lots of greenery and nice little cafes and shops. Do you prefer a regular city tour or a themed tour with focus on restaurants, cafés & bars, a tour with shopping or do you want to focus on culture and museums?
The choice is yours and I will do my best to give you an excellent time here on the Åland Islands. Welcome!
